All About Saif Ali Khan And Hrithik Roshan Starrer 'Vikram Vedha'

Vikram Vedha is an upcoming Hindi black film that will be starring Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan along with other actors playing important roles. The movie is the Hindi remake of a Tamil film of the same name that released in 2017 and starred R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi.

Vikram Vedha is written and directed by Pushkar-Gayathri, the married director couple that also directed and wrote the original Tamil film. The production of the film is jointly done by Reliance Entertainment, T-Series Films, Jio Studios, Friday Filmworks and YNOT Studios. The Tamil movie won many film awards like Best Screenplay award at Ananda Vikatan Awards and 10th Vijay Awards, Second Best Tamil Feature Film at Chennai International Film Festival and Best Story award at Techofes Award 2018. The shooting or the movie began in October 2021 and was wrapped in June this year, it movie will soon be released in theatres.

Vikram Vedha Cast, Plot, Release Date

The story of the film revolves around an honest police officer who is a part of the police unit that is assigned to carry out the encounter with one of the most dreaded gangsters, Vedha. While Vikram has a commendable sense of good and evil, Vedha has seen the grey in the existing black and white in the real world. When Vedha suddenly surrenders before the unit can capture and encounter him, he starts narrating three stories about his life to Vikram during confession which changes Vikram's perspective of right and wrong.

The movie is reportedly inspired by the famous folklore of Vikram-Betaal from Singhasan Battisi. Saif Ali Khan will be seen playing the role of Inspector Vikram in the Hindi remake while Hrithik Roshan plays Vedha. Radhika Apte will be seen playing Vikram's wife who is also Vedha's lawyer while actor Rohit Saraf will play the role of Vedha's brother (Vignesh or Pulli in Tamil original). Yogita Bihani joined the cast to play Chanda, the love interest of Vedha's brother. The movie also features Sharib Hashmi as Babloo and Satyadeep Mishra in important roles.

The ">trailer of the film gave a glimpse of the gruesome action sequences and a face-off between Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan. The movie will be released in theatres on September 30, 2022.
