Balan posted the poster of the film on her Instagram handle and wrote, "Fearless as she steps out into the world!... Happy to announce my latest film ‘Sherni’ @primevideoin... Meet #SherniOnPrime in June."
OTT platform Amazon Prime Video also tweeted the poster of the film and announced that it will be available to stream on the platform in June.

The actor's last release Shakuntala Devi, a biopic of the Indian mathematician, who was popularly known as the "Human-Computer" was also released digitally on Prime Video.

2. The film is directed by Amit Masurkar and is produced by T-Series anf Abundantia Entertainment. It is Masurkar's third film after Sulemani Keeda and Newton.
3. Apart from Balan, Sherni also boasts a powerful assemble cast consisting of versatile artists like Mukul Chaddha, Sharad Saxena, Ila Arun, Brijendra Kala, Vijay Raaz, and Neeraj Kabi.
4. In a press release, Vikram Malhotra, the founder of Abundantia Entertainment said that the film is one of the most special and important stories that they have worked on. He also said that Masurkar's evocative take on the highly relevant subject will make for a compelling watch.
5. The film will be released on Amazon Prime in June, although the exact release date is not yet known.
