Dia Mirza Marries Vaibhav Rekhi: Bollywood actor and former Miss Asia Pacific International 2000 Dia Mirza got hitched on Monday to her partner Vaibhav Rekhi in an intimate ceremony held in Mumbai. Here's all you need to know about the low key wedding.
Second Wedding for both
This is Mirza's and Rekhi's second wedding. Earlier Mirza was married to Producer Sahil Sangha, but the couple called it off in the year 2019 after being together for about 11 years. The two announced their separation on social media. Sangha and Mirza gave a joint statement which read, " "After 11 years of sharing our lives and being together, we have mutually decided to separate. We remain friends and will continue to be there for each other with love and respect. While our journeys may lead us down different paths, we are forever grateful for the bond that we share with each other."
Vaibhav Rekhi was earlier married to yoga and wellness therapist Sunaina Rekhi, a Nottingham University graduate. The two have a daughter together. Rekhi is the founder of Piramal Fund Management. He and Dia Mirza reportedly came close during the pandemic and began living together in Rekhi's Pali Hill residence and later decided to get married.
Who was in attendance?
The intimate wedding was attended by actors Aditi Rao Hydari, Jackky Bhagnani and Gautam Gupta. After the wedding, Mirza and Rekhi posed together for the paparazzi that had gathered outside their residence. The couple also distributed sweets among the media persons who had gathered to cover the wedding.
