Greg Daniels' ambitious SciFi project Upload is coming back with a season 2. The dark-comedy will pick up from where it left viewers, exploring cliff-hangers and a (technologically) forbidden romance between its leads.
Daniels is the brain behind successful shows like The Office (United States' version) and Space Force. Although, with the Upload franchise, he was accused of ripping off another series on the afterlife, The Good Place. But since the release of season one the show has built a loyal fanbase, proving that it has a lot more to offer, and its concept is not that similar to The Good Place.
Once Daniels had said that he has not watched Michael Schur's The Good Place. "I think in 2016, I had dinner with Mike and his wife. I was just finishing my first draft of this. I had pitched it all over town, in 2015, and sold it to HBO. I said to Mike, 'I'm turning something in tomorrow.' And he said, 'I'm turning something in tomorrow too.' It turned out to be The Good Place. From having worked together for so long, our creative brains were thinking about the same thing," he said.

Plot
The series is set in 2033. At the time, people can choose to have a "digital life extension" when they are about to die. These extensions depend on the fact whether they are choosing to be on the verge of death or are simply ending their life early in order to live on as an upload.
In season 2, the character Nathan Brown, played by Robbie Amell will be at crossroads as his former girlfriend Ingrid, who is played by Allegra Edwards unexpectedly arrives in his digital afterlife. Ingrid is trying to get things back to normal with Nathan. But this time it is complex as Nathan is attracted to his customer care angel Nora, which is played by Andy Allo.
Season one had ended with Nathan left frozen after trying to downgrade himself to 2G, which meant that he had limited data to work with. The viewers were left hanging as to what the upcoming season, which was guaranteed, will entail.
Upload Season 2 Release Date
The series can be watched on Amazon Prime from March.
