After two successful seasons, The Umbrella Academy is set to return for a third. The series is an American superhero streaming television series based on the same-named comic book series by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá. The plot revolves around the Hargreeves family, made up of seven of the 43 children born through spontaneous conceptions around the world.

A scientist and billionaire named Sir Reginald Hargreeves planned to adopt as many of the newborns as he could, but he only ended up with seven. As they obtained superpowers, Reginald trained them and created 'The Umbrella Academy', but the crew eventually split up and reunited many years later when Reginald died and the end of the world approached.

Since then, the Hargreeves have been working on mending their relationship as siblings and as a family, learning more about their ancestors in the process, but there are still many questions.

The Umbrella Season 3 Plot

The 'Umbrella Academy'(TUA) and the 'Sparrow Academy', their counterparts with superpowers from an alternate timeline who were revealed at the end of Season 2, will face fresh conflicts in the upcoming season. The Sparrow Academy character posters were unveiled in January, giving fans their first — and very brief — glimpse at the mystery new cast of characters. Marcus, a more malevolent version of Ben, Fei, Alphonso, Sloane, Jayme, and Christopher make up the Sparrows, a floating, telekinetic cube that receives the same treatment as the other siblings.

The Umbrella Academy's official Twitter account also posted a thread of seven main character posters for the new season on February 15. Luther, Diego, Allison, Klaus, Viktor, and Season 2's Lila are all shown grasping a tattered version of the TUA's signature black 'belly', with bird shadows towering over them in promotional photographs.

The cast includes Elliot Page, Justin H. Min, Adam Godley, Marin Ireland, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Tom Hopper, David Castaed, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Mary J Blige, Cameron Britton, John Magaro, Colm Feore, Adam Godley, Ritu Arya, and Kate Walsh. Meanwhile, Season 3 is expected to welcome Justin Cornwell, Britne Oldford, Jake Epstein, Genesis Rodriguez, and Cazzie David to the group.
