Tomorrow is a South Korean television series with Kim Hee-sun, Rowoon, Lee Soo-hyuk, and Yoon Ji-on as the main characters. The series is based on a Naver webtoon that was released in 2017, and it follows the grim reapers as they guide the dead to save those who wish to die.
Kim Tae-yoon and Sung Chi-wook directed the series, which aired on MBC TV on April 1, 2022, and ran for 16 episodes until May 21, 2022. The series revolves around, Jun-woong (Rowoon) Choi, a young job seeker who has been unable to find work. He meets the grim reapers, Koo Ryeon (Kim Hee-sun) and Lim Ryung Gu (Yoon Ji-on), who have the duty of preventing suicide, through an accident, and works with them as the youngest contract worker in the death angels' crisis management team.
Tomorrow's final episode aired on MBC on Saturday, with the major focus being to enable the show's main characters—Koo Ryeon, Park Jun-gil, and Choi Jun-Woong—to achieve closure. However, many viewers were baffled when watching the final episode, so we've broken down the season finale for you.
Tomorrow Season 1 Ending Explained:
Choi-injury hui's sends Koo Ryeon down a destructive road. Koo used to believe that intruding into the lives of humans was a mistake, but now she doesn't give a damn. As she relived her history in Tomorrow's conclusion, she battled trolls and beat up people who propagated false tales about Choi-hui.
Meanwhile, Koo has been a victim of cyberbullying herself. In Tomorrow, a group of such trolls literally threw stones at Koo Ryeon and her handmaid, killing her handmaid. So, in the present, Koo Ryeon takes a risky path in order to prevent history from repeating itself. Her teammate, Jun-woong, is the only one who can stop her.
In truth, the reason he had to work at Jumadeung (Afterlife) in Tomorrow while he was in a coma in real life was to assist Koo Ryeon and Jun-gil in coming to terms with each other regarding their past lives.

Jun-woong is aware of the terrible past of Koo Ryeon and Jun-gil. The director reveals to Jun-woong that they were a loving couple who were separated owing to society, and that Koo Ryeon chose to join Jumadeung to ensure that she remembers her loving husband.
He takes advantage of this to gain Jun-favor Gil's and guarantee that Koo Ryeon saves Choi-hui so that she does not have to bear the guilt. He succeeds, as well as assisting Koo Ryeon in realising that the person she needed to save, the one the director had mentioned, was none other than herself. She knows that she is the only one who can keep herself from feeling guilty, hurt, and lonely in the future.
When Koo Ryeon discovers this, she feels at ease and is able to approach Jun-gil. Jun-previous Gil's issue in Tomorrow is likewise overcome as he realises the type of trauma Koo Ryeon could have gone through. This allows the two of them to recover from their previous wounds and move forward. Jun-six Woong's months in Jumadeung will end when this struggle is ended, and he will return to his mortal life.
He has no memory of his stint as a temporary grim reaper, but he retains his ability to recognise people who are contemplating suicide. At the end of Tomorrow, Koo Ryeon, Jun-gil, and Ryung-gyu decide to wait until they may accompany him on his afterlife voyage .
