10 Things To Know About The Disha Patani Tiger Shroff Case:
- On June 2, Disha Patani and rumoured boyfriend Tiger Shroff were caught roaming at Bandstand Promenade after 2 pm.
- It is reported by the Mumbai officials that both actors could not give a valid reason to the police for being out of their homes at that time. “When questioned, he (Shroff) couldn’t give a satisfactory reply about why he was roaming outside,” a police official told PTI.
- The actors have violated the norms operating during the lockdown in Maharashtra which is in force till June 15. Citizens are allowed to step out of their homes only for essential services. The timing for gathering essential commodities remains between 7 am and 2 pm.
- As per ANI, the case against the duo was registered under Section 188 (Disobeying the order of public servant) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
- Despite the registered case, the police mentioned that no arrest was made at the time because Section 188 is a bailable section.
- However, Ayesha Shroff, mother of Tiger Shroff took to Instagram and said that the media got the facts wrong. She claimed that Patani and Shroff were heading home and the police were just checking their Aadhar cards.
- “No one is interested in roaming at a time like this. Please get your facts right before saying such things” Shroff added.
- Ayesha Shroff also mentioned how her son has been helping people out during the pandemic. “Instead of bringing people down how come no one writes about the free meals he’s providing to front-line workers!! That’s because he himself doesn’t talk about it. So don’t judge,” she wrote in a separate comment.
- But the official handle of the Mumbai Police has also posted a tweet regarding the Disha Patani Tiger Shroff case without naming the actors. In a creative twist, the police mentioned the films the actors starred in instead of their names.
- “In the ongoing ‘War’ against the virus, going ‘Malang’ on the streets of Bandra cost dearly to two actors who have been booked under sections 188, 34 IPC by Bandra PSTN," the police tweeted.
