The Kashmir Files release date and time has been in most people's minds since the film was released on March 1 this year. The controversial noise that the film created in the first few weeks of its release date has most viewers grasped in a state of curiosity. The film did well at the box office considering the promotions it got by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, himself, however, it will be interesting to see how it does on an online platform.

The release of the film in theatres created a divide amongst the viewers as some believed it to be a true representation of history while others questioned the propaganda carried out by the film. The unfair treatment of this was even taken up by the producer of Jhund Savita Raj Hiremath, who posted her views on Facebook and sought an explanation as to why one film is getting superior treatment to another, which talks about the Dalit community and slums in India.

This film is written and directed by Vivek Agnihotri, who alleges that the incidents shown in the film are based on the interviews of the first generation Kashmiri Pandits, he also alleges that it is based on a true story.

The cast for the film includes Mithun Chakraborthy, Pallavi Joshi, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumaar and Chinmay Mandlekar, amongst others. It is produced by Zee Studios and Tej Narayan Agarwal and Abhishek Agarwal, as well as Pallavi Joshi and Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri.
