The Good Wife: 'Shuru Kare?' Asks Kajol In First Look Of Courtroom Drama

The streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar announced its new show The Good Wife starring actor Kajol. Titled The Good Wife - Pyaar, Kanoon, Dhoka, the show was announced as part of Disney+ Day celebration. The OTT streaming service presented the actor's first look as a lawyer, who is all set to rule the courtroom drama. 

The Good Wife show released it's first look with actor Kajol leading the show as the main lead. Kajol took to her social media account and shared the teaser of the show. The show is the Indian adaptation of globally famous American courtroom drama The Good Wife which featured actor Julianna Margulies. The show aired for seven seasons with its last run in 2016. Director Suparn Verma is helming the Indian adaption to the show.

The Good Wife Teaser

Kajol is all set to play a lawyer, who resumes a legal career after her husband goes to prison in the wake of the scandal. The series is currently in the final stages of production, and the teaser offers only a slight peek of Kajol as the main character. The teaser shows Kajol entering the courtroom wearing a black robe. She comes upfront in the 30-second video introduction and asks, "Shuru kare?". The show's first look has definitely left the audiences intrigued and wanting for more. The drama's screenplay is written by Hussain Dalal, Abbas Dalal and Sidharth Kumar. The rest of the cast members are yet to be announced.

The actor is excited to play this new role and believes that OTT platforms offer new opportunities for artists and creators to experiment with roles and shows. She will also be appearing in Salaam Venky, a film directed by actor and director Revathy. She earlier featured in the Netflix film Tribhanga, directed by Renuka Shahane, which also starred actors Tanvi Azmi and Mithila Palkar.
