Telugu actor Gayathri, whose real name was Dolly D Cruz, died tragically in a car accident while returning from a Holi celebration. She is a well-known actor and YouTuber. Her fans have been shocked by the news of her passing.
Twenty-six-year-old Gayathri was with her friend Rathod in her car travelling back to her home after participating in Holi celebrations on March 18. According to reports, Rathod was driving the car and the two of them were on their way to Gayathri's house as the car arrived in the Gachibowli region, Rathod lost control and hit a road barrier, causing the vehicle to overturn and injure the two passengers.
Aside from Gayathri and Rathod, another 38-year-old woman, a pedestrian, was also killed in the tragic accident when she was caught underneath the vehicle as it crashed and overturned, according to reports.

Gayathri rose to prominence as Madam Sir Madam Anthe is a Telugu Comedy Web Series featuring Siri Hanmanth and Shrihan. She also featured in ">Budget Raghavayya Gari Abbai a Telugu Web Series Featuring JDV Prasad, Kalpana Reddy and Gayathri as leads. Her YouTube channel, "Jalsa Rayudu", helped her attain recognition.
Surekha Vani, who played her on-screen mother on the series Madam Sir Madam Anthe, shared the heartbreaking news of her death with her co-stars. Sharing the news on her Instagram, she wrote, "How could you leave this mom..! Had really best times together..! Still I can’t believe this..! Can u pleeee Come back soon ra will have a nice party..! Heyy lot to share..! Many more to do together..! Come raa come..! This is not time to go itz too early to leave us..! I dnt wana miss u..! Tcre..! Love u forever..! @dolly_d_cruze."
The news of her death has filled Twitter with anguish, as they mourn the star's untimely passing and try to figure out what happened. Meanwhile, no information concerning the reason that triggered the accident has been made public.
