Taylor Swift Song Mastermind
It's famously known that Taylor Swift's lucky number is 13, and going by this she released the name of Track 13 from her album as the first giveaway. "The first track I’m going to tell you about is Track 13. Track 13 is called 'Mastermind.'"
A few weeks back, the Grammy Award winner shared the news about her upcoming album writing, “Midnights, the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life, will be out October 21. Meet me at midnight.”
The singer defined the album to be an honest account of music written over some sleepless nights scattered throughout her life: “We lie awake in love and fear, in turmoil and tears. We stare at walls and drink until they speak back. We twist in our self-made caged and pray that we aren’t, right this minute, about to make some fateful life-altering mistake. This is a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams. The floors we pace and the demons we face. For all of us who have tossed and turned and decided to keep the lanterns lit and go searching, hoping that just maybe when the clock strikes twelve we'll meet ourselves.”
Midnights is all set to release on October 21, 2022. The album will carry 13 tracks.
Spilling secrets about the process of songwriting
The singer shared some interesting details about her songwriting process at the Nashville Awards speech, revealing, "It's dorky, but also I have in my mid secretly established genre categories for lyrics I write." Three to be exact, Quill Lyrics, Fountain Pen Lyrics and Glitter Gel Pen Lyrics. I came up with these categories based on what writing tool I imagine having in my hand when I scribbled it down, figuratively. I don’t actually have a quill. Anymore. I broke it once when I was mad,” she revealed.
Taylor Swift is now the first female musician to receive the Songwriter-Artist of the Decade award at the Nashville Songwriter Awards.
