Bhasker made her film debut in the 2009 drama Madholal Keep Walking, but it was in the financially successful 2011 romantic comedy Tanu Weds Manu that she gained fame. Bhasker's role in the highly acclaimed love drama Raanjhanaa earned her even more attention. She has also appeared in films like Machhli Jal Ki Rani Hai, Veere Di Wedding, Bhaag Beanie Bhaag and Rashbhari. On her special day, we have compiled a list of her best films so far.

 Listen... Amaya (2013)

Listen... Amaya is a drama film starring Farooq Shaikh, Deepti Naval, and Swara Bhaskar in the key roles. The story takes place in Delhi, where Leela, a widowed mother, manages a library cafe called 'Book a Coffee.' There she meets a new friend, Jayant, Jazz, a widower photographer, and their connection grows quickly. However, when Leela's daughter Amaya, a budding writer, learns of the relationship, she is concerned. The film's narrative is made up of the journeys of all of the main characters, as well as a subtle twist towards the end.

 Raanjhanaa (2013)

Raanjhanaa is a romantic drama film. Dhanush, Sonam Kapoor plays the main lead in the film and Swara Bhaskar, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and Abhay Deol feature in supporting roles the film. Raanjhana is about a small-town kid (Dhanush) who must overcome the class difference in order to be accepted by his childhood crush (Kapoor), who is enamoured with big city values. When the man is persuaded by his crush that their relationship will not be approved by their families due to their religious differences, he proposes to his childhood friend (Bhaskar), who has had a crush on him since childhood. He does not, however, attend his own wedding.

 Nil Battey Sannata (2015)

Nil Battey Sannata is a comedy-drama film that was released globally as The New Classmate.  Bhaskar played Chanda Sahay, a high-school dropout who wants her daughter to do well in school and not end up like her. She encourages her to have great aspirations and instils in her the value of education. She works hard every day to keep her studies going.

 Anaarkali of Aarah (2017)

 Bhaskar plays the part of a small-town erotic folk dancer in the small town of Arrah, Bihar. Anaarkali (Swara Bhaskar) makes a profession by performing at public functions to double meaning/erotic songs. Anaarkali meets Dharmender Chauhan (Sanjay Mishra), the vice chancellor of a nearby institution, who tries to molest her during one of her theatrical performances. This leads to a dispute between the two, with Dharmender having the upper hand due to his position of authority, but Anaarkali refuses to give in to the challenges that have been presented her way and instead chooses to fight back.
