Tom Cruise's Daughter Suri Making On-Screen Singing Debut: What We Know

The daughter of well-known Hollywood stars Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes has made her on-screen singing debut in the movie Alone Together, directed by her mother.

Born April 18, 2006, in Santa Monica, California, Suri's name translates to “red rose” in French and “princess” in Hebrew. Her parents Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise began dating back in 2005 and “officialised” their marriage in Los Angeles followed by a ceremony at Italy's Odescalchi Castle in Bracciano, on November 18, 2006. Suri's first photographs as a baby came out in the October issue of Vanity Fair in 2006, which sold more than 700,00 copies.

Ever since her parents' divorce back in 2012, on grounds of fear of intimidation as cited by Katie Holmes, Suri Cruise lives with her mother. Talking about Suri in an interview, Katie Holmes has previously stated, “I was happy to become a mom in my 20s. It’s been nice that our ages fit. How do I put this? Every age that my child has been and my age at that time has been a good match. We kind of grew up together.”

1. Suri Cruise lent her voice for a song in the film Alone Together, directed by her mother Katie Holmes.
2. She has reportedly sung the cover of "Blue Moon", which will be played during the opening credits of the film. She has previously voiced a song in the movie Rare Objects. 
3. Revealing more about Cruise's debut, actor-director Katie Holmes stated, "I always want the highest level of talent. So, I asked her. She`s very, very talented. She said she would do it, and she recorded it, and I let her do her thing."
4. Suri has attended a private school in Calabasas, California, and then went on to continue her schooling in Newyork, after she moved to the city with her mother Katie Homes.
5. Back in 2018, reports revealed that Suri Cruise is desperate to have a relationship with her father Tom Cruise, which has been limited to sending each other gifts over the holidays and birthdays.
6. Being a star kid Suri has been followed by the paparazzi ever since she was a baby, even after Katie Holmes made it a point to not bring her daughter into the limelight. “There is so much bad news and hate and things that don’t make sense. The atmosphere around the world is terrifying." Holmes said.
