Sriti Jha has emerged as one of the household names after starring in popular daily soaps. The 34-year-old actor played the female lead in Kumkum Bhagya produced by Ekta Kapoor.

Jha made her debut with a teen show that aired on Disney India. Later on, she went on to feature in mainstream dramas on Indian Television. Over the years, the actor has won the hearts of the viewers with her versatile performances.

-Sriti made her debut with Disney India's Dhoom Machaao Dhoom, alongside Toral Rasputra, Maanvi Gagroo, and Aanchal Bharti in 2007.

-The daily soap actor hails from Begusarai in Bihar and is an English Honours graduate from Delhi’s Sri Venkateswara College.

-Although she has acted on stage in various skits and dramas during her school days, pursuing acting as a career wasn’t her goal. Her elder sister, Meenakshi, convinced her otherwise. “Meenakshi really fought my battles. I was actually really shy to even accept that I could be an actress and never thought of it as a career option,” she revealed in an interview.  

-Jha rose to fame after playing the character of Jhanvi in Saubhagyavati Bhava. It was about the woman’s struggle against her abusive husband.

-At the Spoken Fest in Mumbai in January, 2020, Sriti recited her poem “Confessions of a Romantic Asexual”. In the poem she talks about being asexual and her definition of love. Later, the video clip of the actor went viral on social media.

-Sriti has so far aced the roles she has picked. She reportedly rejected a few popular shows such as, Kitani Mohabbat Hai, Kaisa Yeh Ishq Hai and Gulaal.
