Ever since its release last year, survival-drama Squid Game, which is ironically based on a South Korean children's game, has developed a niche follower base for itself. Whether it be Dalgona candy reels, memes or the social message delivered by the show, the show became a global phenomenon and highlighted the growing influence of films and shows from South Korea on the rest of the world.
However, the thing with an engrossing show like Squid Game is that people become impatient and find it tough to wait for season two. It is not surprising, since season one of the show won big at the Critics' Choice Television Awards and The Actors Guild Awards, as well as a Golden Globe for ctor O Yeong-su, who played a crucial role in the series.
One cannot blame the excitement among the show's fans for its upcoming season. However, not much has been revealed about the next instalment of Squid Game, except, creator and writer Hwang Dong-hyuk recently spilt out the names of the character that will surely make a comeback in season two of the dystopian drama series.

Squid Game Season 2 Cast
According to the creator of the show, Lee Jung-jae's Gi-hun is definitely a part of season 2 of Squid Game. "So there's been so much pressure, so much demand and so much love for a second season. So I almost feel like you leave us no choice! But I will say there will indeed be a second season. It's in my head right now. I'm in the planning process currently. But I do think it's too early to say whether and how that's going to happen. So I will promise you this...Gi-hun will come back and he will do something for the world," the creator said.
Not just Lee Jung-jae though, here's a list of other actors who could feature on Squid Game season 2:
