Special Ops 1.5 release date and time have been confirmed by the makers. The show's second season comes on-demand after the success of the first season. The series has been directed by Neeraj Pandey starring Kay Kay Menon in the lead role. Menon is going to essay the role of a Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) named Himmat Singh.

The second season of the series has been titled The Himmat Story which is going to hit the OTT screens after one year of the release of its first season in March 2020.
The upcoming season was announced officially at the beginning of this year in January by the makers. They also released the trailer recently. The description of the season read, "The man you know. The story you don't..."
The Plot
Special Ops 1.5 is said to reveal the background story of its main lead Himmat Singh. The RAW agent was seen chasing a terrorist involved in multiple terror attacks on India, starting with the Parliament attack of 2001. For close to two decades Singh faces ridicule and career setbacks for his theory and determination. However, when the intelligence department realises that he was right all along, Singh is called back to lead a task force that will capture this most wanted terrorist.
Neeraj Pandey, the director of the series, during his interviews, has said that the second season is neither the prequel nor the sequel to the first season. All the events in the season take place in the Special Ops universe. In the first season, the main lead was shown as a serious hardworking investigating officer. In this upcoming season, the story will focus on Singh's initial days as RAW agent, as narrated in parts by Vinay Pathak's character Abbas Sheikh.

Apart from Kay Kay Menon, the series also has actors Parmeet Sethi, Vinay Pathak and Karan Tacker make a come back as their earlier characters from thr first season. The second season has added actors Adil Khan and Aftab. Aishwarya Sushmita is going the play the role of Himmat Singh's partner in the series.
The origin story gives an insight into the lead character's younger days and the events that shaped him into the stoic officer investigating terror attacks in Special Ops. Menon is teamed up with Shivdasani for an investigation that takes them beyond Indian borders and will ultimately determine his place as an officer.
The three-episode series is set for a premiere on November 12 on the online streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar at 12:00 am IST.
