Sophia Cheung Hong Kong influencer death: The 32-year-old influencer's death was confirmed to be due to falling from a waterfall after hospitals officials stated the same on July 17. Reportedly, she was present at the spot to click selfies following which she slipped off the cliff edge.
The death of the influencer, who claimed herself to be an adventurer and hiker, grabbed worldwide attention from her followers as well as those who were unaware last week.
According to reports, she was with a group of friends near Ha Pak Lai, Pineapple Mountains. She was taking the photographs at the edge of a waterfall on the Tsing Dai stream before she fell into the 16-foot-deep pool.
Immediately, her friends who were present at the location called for emergency services following which she was pulled from the water.
Reportedly, she was taken to the Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The hospital official said, "It is confirmed that a 32-year-old woman has been sent to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital and was certified dead at HK time 7:59 pm on 10 July,"

Cheung's Instagram account which has more than 23,000 followers currently, was known for her nature photography. However, she engaged in a lot of hiking stunts like hanging off the edge of a clip using only one hand and balancing on sharp edges, evident from her account. She believed that "Life should be fun, not dumb," as she wrote this on one of her Instagram posts.
According to her account bio, she was into hiking, kayaking, exploring, photography, and outdoor activities enthusiast.
Better Days Are Coming
In her most recent post, uploaded on July 8, two days before her death, she wrote, "Better days are coming. They are called: Saturday and Sunday."
One of the comments read, "I thought better days are coming with Saturday and Sunday".
Another wrote, "I will miss your chat every day. I love you always. Rest in peace."
