The Bigg Boss 7 contestant Sofia Hayat spoke about how aspiring actors are tricked into doing porn while auditioning for roles in Bollywood. She also shared her own experiences and said that she knew the tricks.
Hayat claimed amidst the ongoing case about pornography accusing Raj Kundra, and shared the time when she was allegedly asked by a casting agent that had to show the director how she could do an intimate scene. Hayat added by saying she "knew the tricks."
Sofia Hayat said in her statement, "I knew this was a trick because professionals would never ask any artiste to perform such a scene. I have done two love scenes in my career, and although I am not inhibited about such scenes, it was a closed set and nobody had asked me to perform the scenes before the shoot."
After this Hayat also said that aspiring actors should beware of such propositions. She opined that pornography has desensitised people from love. The actor also said that she is in favour of this being treated in par of rape in court.
She further talked about pornography and opined, "It switches people off love and only allows lust. Anyone selling porn is an enemy to the energy of love."
Hayat also said that her professional work has been edited and uploaded onto the applications like the ones Raj Kundra is accused of being in link to.
Sofia Hayat said, "Pornography is a violation of the rights of a woman and courts must treat it as rape." She said that a number of businesses are driven by the motivation of money and what they do to young women who are aspiring to be actors was equivalent to rape.
Raj Kundra has been accused of producing and distributing pornographic films. According to reports, aspiring actors were asked to audition for bold scenes under the pretext of getting work in web series. And later the bold scenes were allegedly turned into nude or semi-nude scenes against their will.
