In her professional career, Shweta Bachchan has worked as a model, writer, novelist, and businesswoman. Although Navya Naveli Nanda and Agastya Nanda's mother Shweta Bachchan Nanda admitted she is not financially independent, she does not want them to follow in her footsteps.
Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan's eldest, Shweta, claimed she is not ambitious and is happy with her life as it is. But she wants Navya Naveli Nanda and Agastya Nanda to take a different path and secure their financial future.
Shweta Bachchan On Kids
Shweta gave birth to daughter Navya Naveli Nanda in December of the same year that she married businessman Nikhil Nanda and son Agastya in 2000. Agastya will make his acting debut in the Netflix ">film The Archies next year, while Navya is busy running her own business.
In the first episode of Navya's podcast What The Hell Navya, Shweta and Navya talked about financial freedom. Shweta was recently asked by ETimes if she made a special effort to impart to Navya the value of being financially independent when she was growing up. She replied, "Unfortunately, I am not financially independent and I'm not particularly an ambitious person and I make no bones about it. But that is not what I would want for my child."
The author added, "When I send my child to school, I am setting her up on a path where I hope that she will do something to support herself, and that’s my only requirement for both my children, Navya and Agastya."
She has a rule for both of them: if you don't have enough money in the bank to pay your rent or own a place, don't even consider getting married or starting a family. She wants her daughter in particular to be financially secure, and she believes that if she achieves this without the help of her father's money, it will greatly boost her self-confidence.
With her mother Shweta and grandmother Jaya Bachchan, Navya discusses "a variety of things" in her podcast, including "finance and fame to friendship and family." Starting on Saturday, September 24, a new episode of the podcast will be released on IVM Podcasts and other audio streaming platforms.
