Shilpa Shetty Fought With Raj Kundra During The Raid At Their Home: Report

Shilpa Shetty Raj Kundra fight: Actor Shilpa Shetty had an argument with husband Raj Kundra on the day he was brought home for a raid on their property by the crime branch of Mumbai Police. Kundra was arrested on July 19 for alleged production and publication of "porn" videos via an app called HotShots. Subsequently, Shetty was also interrogated by the police on July 23, during the raid that was conducted in an attempt to gather more evidence regarding the case.

Sources close the investigation told ANI that Shetty, who was upset about after the interrogation, got into a huge altercation with her husband and "she shouted and asked him what was the need of doing such a thing and why he did everything." The report also claims that investigating officers of the Crime Branch team had to intervene between the couple.

The actor reportedly also told Kundra that his actions had led to defamation of her family name, causing financial loss, as they had lost out on several endorsements. "She asked him what was the need of doing such things when they achieved a standing in society," the source from Mumbai Police added.

During the interrogation, Shetty denied any involvement in the case. The actor, whose film Hungama 2 was released last Friday, was reportedly in tears while recording her official statement. Shilpa Shetty, however, also defended the content published on Hotshots app, saying that the videos in question could be categorised as erotica, not porn. "She also said that nowadays, similar content is available on various OTT platforms and in fact, some are more obscene than what is available on Hotshots," said an officer close to the case.

What is the case against Raj Kundra?

British-Indian businessman Raj Kundra stands accused of producing videos with pornographic content via an app called HotShots, that is allegedly back by is company Viaan Industries. While Kundra's custody was extended till July 27, he denied all the allegations against him and even moved Bombay High Court, challenging his arrest as being illegal.

So far no evidence has been discovered to confirm his wife Shilpa Shetty's role in the case, however, the actor had to face police interrogation as she was associated with Viaan Industries, and had resigned from the post of director from the company in 2020.
