Wondering Sharmaji Namkeen Release date? Sharmaji Namkeen, Rishi Kapoor's last on-screen performance, is slated for release and viewers are excited about the film after seeing the trailer. So far, here's what we know:

Hitesh Bhatia directed the film, which was produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the Excel Entertainment label in collaboration with MacGuffin Pictures' Honey Trehan and Abhishek Chaubey.

Sharmaji Namkeen Cast:

Juhi Chawla, Suhail Nayyar, Taaruk Raina, Satish Kaushik, Sheeba Chaddha, and Isha Talwar are among the film's prominent cast. After the drama flick Chalk n Duster, Juhi Chawla and Kapoor will be seen together again. Bol Radha Bol, Luck By Chance, and Eena Meena Deeka are among the films in which the two have worked.

Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30, 2020 as he was suffering from leukemia. Because Kapoor passed away before the film could be completed, the film has two senior actors playing the same character. B. G. Sharma nicknamed Sharmaji, is the character's name played by Paresh Rawal and Rishi Kapoor.

Sharmaji Namkeen Plot:

The plot of the film is about the life of a retired widower (Sharmaji) who engages in various hobbies to keep himself busy and avoid loneliness. He tries a variety of activities before deciding that cooking is his calling in life. On the other hand, his son is unhappy with his father's decisions.

Sharmaji Namkeen Trailer:

The film's trailer was launched on March 17 and has already garnered over 15 lakh views in only two days and is available on YouTube's trending page. The Kapoor family has promoted the film through their social media. At the trailer launch, Alia Bhatt joined her boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor, his mother, Neetu Kapoor, Ranbir's sister, Riddhima Kapoor, and other Kapoor family members.

Riddhima Kapoor shared a still from Sharmaji Namkeen, her late father's final film, with an emotional message after watching it. Neetu Kapoor, has uploaded a video in which their son, actor Ranbir Kapoor, discusses the making of the film.

Sharmaji Namkeen Release Date:

It was initially indicated that the film would be released on Kapoor's birthday, September 4, last year. The filmmakers have now revealed that the film will be released on Amazon Prime Video on March 31, 2022.
