Samantha Prabhu May Take A Break To Focus On Recovery: Here's What We Know

Indian actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu has done some exceptional work in the past few years across Telugu cinema and her performance in Prime Video's OTT series The Family Man season 2 earned her pan-India appreciation. It's believed that she has signed a couple of films in the Hindi film industry as well. The actor, who last appeared in the film Yashoda, revealed prior to the release that she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder and her road to recovery has been challenging in a lot of ways.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who was earlier diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder called Myositis, has reportedly walked out of Bollywood projects in order to entirely focus on her health and recovery.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu Takes Break From Bollywood

If the latest reports are true, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has walked out of Bollywood films she had signed up for because she now wants to prioritise her health. The Yashoda actor's Myositis diagnosis came as a huge challenge for her as it affected her health and her professional life. The actor could not entirely promote her latest film owing to her health condition.

Reportedly, Prabhu has informed the makers of her Hindi films that may require a long break from acting, at least till her health recovers.

The actor is currently shooting for the film Kushi, which also features Vijay Deverakonda. The film went on floors this year and will be released coming 2023. Prabhu plans to go on a break post the film's shoot and rest until she recovers. It's reported that her team has updated the filmmakers on the same.

Samantha, who gave a stellar performance in the film Pushap's song 'Oo Antava', appeared in the last season of Hotstar's chat show Koffee With Karan alongside Akshay Kumar. It was reported in July that she would be signing a Dinesh Vijan film starring Ayushmann Khurrana, however, none of the crew members involved confirmed the same.

The actor took to social media to share about her condition stating that while she had planned to reveal her disorder after remission, she decided to inform everyone earlier. Posting a picture from the hospital, she wrote that she has accepted that vulnerability is something she is coming to terms with and while her medical team was confident that she will recover soon, she has her bad days.
