"Samantha Prabhu Was Planning To Start A Family," Says Shaakuntalam Producer

Samantha Prabhu Divorce: Telugu Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently announced divorce from her husband Naga Chaitanya. After facing a variety of malicious comments online, she issued a statement calling out the 'haters' for making false claims about their divorce. Neelima Guna, the producer of Shaakuntalam came out in Samantha's support.

Neelima said that Samantha was planning to have a child and had asked the makers of Shaakuntalam to arrange her schedule in a way that she can wrap up filming for it as soon as possible. Guna said that Samantha had loved the plot and was excited to work in it, however was keen on completing filming till July/August this year, if she were to take up the role.

According to the report, Guna added that Prabhu had informed her of her plans to start a family and that her priority at the time was becoming a mother. As period films take longer to film, Prabhu was apprehensive about joining the cast. Neelima Guna then assured her that with pre-production and proper planning, they will be able to complete filming within the period without any tensions.

Neelima said that after hearing that, Samantha Prabhu was happy and on board with the film. She had said that it would be her last film before a long break she was planning to take, to have children and focus on her family. According to the filmmaker, the team of Shaakuntala hardly took breaks to accommodate Samantha's request.

On Friday, Samantha Ruth Prabhu took to social media to thank her fans for all the support but also slammed those who had been spreading unverified and baseless rumours of their split and trolling them. From infidelity to abortion, there are a number of rumours making rounds.

Last week, Samantha Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya announced their separation, after four years of marriage. They had shared identical notes on social media announcing their separation.
