Meet Sakshi Tanwar, Famous Television Star Coming Back With Upcoming Series Mai

Sakshi Tanwar Mai: Sakshi Tanwar is an actor and television presenter known for starring as Aamir Khan’s wife in Dangal.

She is known for her work in television soaps Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and Bade Acche Lagte Hain. Her newest role will be the lead role in Anushka Sharma’s Netflix series Mai. Mai will be produced by Clean Slate Films, the production house which also produced Pataal Lok, the Amazon Prime series.

1. Sakshi Tanwar received her primary education through several Kendriya Vidyalayas before graduating from Lady Shri Ram College.
2. After graduating, she gave an audition for Doordarshan’s program Albela Sur Mela in 1998 and was selected as the presenter.
3. Tanwar later starred as Parvati Agarwali in the series Kahaani Ghar Kii. Her role as Parvati led to her gaining fame.
4. She has appeared in the television game show Kaun Banega Crorepati four times. Two of her appearances on the show were with co-stars from the series Bade Achhe Lagte Hain.
5. She appeared on Kaun Banega Crorepati seasons 1, 2, 5 and 6. She appeared with co-star Ram Kapoor in seasons 5 and 6 and co-star Amrita Mukherjee in season 6.
6. In the movie Dangal, Tanwar portrayed Daya Kaur, wife of Mahavir Singh Phogat (played by Aamir Khan), the former wrestler.
7. Tanwar will be starring alongside Manoj Bajpayee and Neena Gupta in the upcoming film Dial 100.
8. She will also be starring in the Anushka Sharma produced show Mai as a 47-year-old wife and mother who is “sucked into a rabbit hole of violence and power”.
9. In 2018, Tanwar adopted a nine month old baby girl, Dityaa Tanwar.
