Actor Sahar Afsha, known for her work in the Bhojpuri film industry announced that she was quitting the entertainment industry for Islam.
Bhojpuri actor Afsha announced her decision to quit the film industry on social media. She wrote her statement in English, Hindi, and Urdu. Afsha wrote, “I want to let you know I have chosen to leave Showbiz and will no longer be involved. I want to live my future life in accordance with Islamic teachings and with Allah’s blessings”.
She added that she was grateful to her fans for “bestowing” many blessings upon her, including fortune, fame, and honour.

Sahar Afsha Quits Film Industry
Sahar Afsha wrote, “I had not even pictured this life in my childhood. I stumbled into this industry by chance and kept on growing.”
She added that she came to the decision to “renounce my Showbix lifestyle, repent before Allah, and seek his forgiveness”.
Afsha ended her statement with, “I hope that I will be remembered not for my past life but for the life to come.”
She also wrote in the caption, "Extremely happy and Allahamdulliah feelings bless to share this with you guys."
Actor Sana Khan, who had also quit the film industry recently commented on the post and gave her support for Afhsa’s decision. She wrote, “Mashallah my sister so happy for you. May Allah give you success in every step of your life, and may you inspire everyone around you and become zariya e khair for mankind.”
Other netizens also wished Afsha luck on her new journey and her commitment to Islam and showed their support for her decision.
Khan had also cited religious reasons for leaving the film industry in 2020. Dangal actor Zaira Wasim announced in 2019 that she was quitting the film industry due to her commitment to Island.
Model and actor Saqib Khan, known for his appearance on Roadies Revolution announced in April 2021 that he was quitting the showbiz industry for religious reasons.
Pakistani singer Abdullah Qureshi also took a similar step and announced earlier this month, on October 6, that he quit the music industry for Islam.
