Anupamaa And Five Other Shows Of Rupali Ganguly That Made Her A Household Name

Rupali Ganguly popular shows: Rupali Ganguly is currently appearing in Anupamaa, a popular television drama with a progressive storyline and a strong female lead character that has been gaining popularity. It is not the only show for which she has received such a positive response from the audience.

Ganguly is a well-known television actor for her vast range of characters, ranging from negative to humorous to motherly, and for her acting abilities. At the age of seven, Ganguly made her acting debut in her father's film Saaheb (1985). She made her television debut in Sukanya in 2000, and has since been in a number of shows; here is a list of her most well-known television appearances.

Sanjivani (2002)

Sanjivani tells the story of four medical interns, Dr. Juhi Singh, Dr. Rahul Mehra, Dr. Simran Chopra, and Dr. Omi Joshi, and the challenges and tribulations they endure as they try to balance their professional and personal lives while fighting diseases and patient deaths. In the drama, Ganguly played a negative character named Dr. Simran Chopra and her performance garnered her a lot of attention and praise.

Sarabhai vs Sarabhai (2006)

The show revolved around the Sarabhai family, a Gujarati upper-class family. The ensemble cast of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai included Satish Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Sumeet Raghavan, Rupali Ganguly, and Rajesh Kumar. Ganguly played Monisha Sarabhai, a humorous character, which she reprised in 2017 in the show's next season Sarabhai vs Sarabhai 2.

Ek Packet Umeed (2008)

Ambika Dharamraj and 15 other members of the group were the subjects of the storyline. They had all decided to make a change. Each of the characters had taken it upon themselves to convey joy and happiness to others through the packages of food they prepare and sold every day, such as masalas, aachar, papads, and jams. Sujata, played by Ganguly, was Ambika Dharamraj's 25-year-old daughter. She was a regular youngster who was content with life in general while still possessing a headstrong streak.

Aapki Antara (2009)

Antara, a five-year-old girl in Aapki Antara, was the protagonist. Ganguly played Anuradha Rai, who had an extramarital affair with Aditya Verma and gave birth to Antara. Antara becomes orphaned after Anuradha dies in a car accident, leaving Aditya with the task of bringing his illegitimate daughter home to his wife. Ganguly was in the show for a brief yet crucial role.

Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi (2011)

This show was about two families who raised their children in quite different ways. The story is of the families' lives, morality, and rituals. The lead characters were Shweta Tiwari, Rupali Ganguly, Vivek Mushran, and Vishal Singh. Ganguly portrayed Pinky Kaur Khanna Ahuja, and the show focused on motherhood issues. Due to personal circumstances, she left the show in the middle of the season, and her role was taken over by Barkha Sengupta.

Rupali Ganguly is now starring in the Star Plus television series Anupamaa as the lead actor. This show is currently at the top of the ratings and popularity charts, surpassing all previous records.

Hit daily soap Anupamaa gets a prequel.

After a series of events, including an unfaithful spouse, a divorce, and societal stigma, Anupamaa  decided to start her own business. Anupamaa, a family-oriented woman, dealt with it all while remaining faithful to her roots and principles, and the audience witnessed her cope with it all while remaining true to her roots and ideals.  She's made strides in her job and outside life, but at home, everyone sees her as a mother, grandmother, ex-wife, and daughter-in-law.

The spotlight has shifted to Anupamaa and Anuj Kappadia's romance, which might lead to their marriage. Her relatives scoffed at her desire to remarry. Anupamaa's mother-in-law, children, and other family members oppose Anupamaa's marriage to Anuj Kappadia played by Gaurav Khanna.
