The reception in Lucknow was hosted by Ali Fazal's family. The Sabri Brothers gave a spirited performance of a Qawwali to begin the reception. The couple opted for twinning and complemented each other in ivory-coloured ensembles. Chadha wore a mono-colour traditional outfit with a short kurti, gharara, and matching dupatta that was embroidered. She complemented the Sandeep Khosla and Abu Jani attire with heavy jewellery. Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal decided to take a unique approach to their wedding festivities by having receptions in several states before the wedding rather than after. The couple shared pictures from their regal Awadhi-themed wedding reception on Tuesday, October 4. They had their haldi, mehendi, sangeet, and cocktail celebration at the Gymkhana Club in Delhi. The final wedding recpetion was on October 6 in Mumbai.

The two dated for many years after meeting on the sets of Fukrey. They have been legally married since 2020. A statement of theirs read that the couple have now been legally married for 2.5 years.
