Fan asks Renee Sen on biological mother: Actor Sushmita Sen’s daughter, Renee Sen on Thursday participated in an Ask Me Anything session on Instagram where she was asked about her "real mother" and if she knows about her lineage.
"Do you know who is your real mom? Just want to know. Sus mam is fab we all know (sic)," a fan asked. Renee interacted with her fans and smartly answered the question with the sweetest response. The 20-year-old wrote to one fan, "I am born to my mother’s heart. This is as real as it gets (sic)," referring to being adopted by a 21-year-old Sushmita Sen, who brought Renee up as a single parent.
Renee also opened up about the bond she shares with her mother and called it the most freeing and encouraging relationship in the world. She said it's wholesome as “Every child and parent relationship is.”
Furthering the session, one fan also congratulated Renee on her recent short film Suttabaazi and asked her to share the experience of smoking in the movie since she is a non-smoker. “The smoking part was really difficult. My lungs felt very uncomfortable (doing it),” responded Renee, who received praise with her mature answers.
Renee is currently "focused" on her career and college. "That’s my relationship status right now,” she revealed
The young actor, Renee recently made her acting debut with the short film Suttabaazi. She had always expressed her desire to follow in her mother’s footsteps in Bollywood. She had earlier said “Sushmita Sen is my mother and I am aware of the privileges. I am very blessed that I am her daughter but at the end of the day she is my maa. I, along with my sister, am being raised to be strong, and to have an identity of my own.”
Earlier in an interview, Sushmita too had opened up about her decision to adopt and said, “In the natural birth, the mother and the child connect through the umbilical cord but in adoption, the mother and the child are connected by this higher power, a connection that you cannot cut off. I have had the privilege of experiencing it twice. To become a mother who has given birth from the heart. I have not missed a day of feeling the joy of motherhood.”
Sushmita Sen also adopted Alisah, in 2010.
