Renee Sen on adoption questions: Sushmita Sen's daughter Renee Sen, who made her acting debut with the short film Suttabaazi, in a recent interview revealed how she deals with questions regarding her birth mother. Asked if conversations about her adoption ever cross the line, she said, "You know, on my Instagram, I was asked this questions: 'Who's your real mother?'" Renee further added that inn reply, she asked the person to define what a real mother is.

Rennee Sen was adopted by Sushmita Sen when the beauty queen turned actor was just 21 years old. Not just that, Sushmita Sen raised her as a single parent, also adopting a second daughter, Alisah. Renee, who is now pursuing a career in acting just like her mother, continued, "My truth is very out and open. But what if it's someone else? We don't know how it'll affect them." Renee pointed out that people must be a little sensitive when asking such questions. Renee also said that such questions rarely bother her as she has grown up around them. However, she went on to add that "for someone else who wants to keep their life private, we don't know how your question can affect them."

During an Ask Me Anything session on Instagram earlier this year, Renee was asked about her biological mother. Do you know who is your real mom? a fan asked. To this, Renee had responded, “I am born to my mother’s heart. This is as real as it gets.” Earlier, she had opened up about the bond she shares with her mother and how their relationship has changed now that they are in the same field.
Renee recently made her acting debut with a short film. Being an actor was always on the cards for the 20-year-old. She had earlier said “Sushmita Sen is my mother and I am aware of the privileges. I am very blessed that I am her daughter but at the end of the day she is my maa." In an interview with NDTV earlier this year, she had claimed that being the actor's daughter has been the biggest privilege, however, the biggest disservice she will do if she is dishonest to her work.
Sushmita adopted Renee in the year 2000 while Alisah joined the family in 2010. The mother of two has been dating model Rohman Shawl for about three years now.
