Raveena Tandon adopted daughter Chaya, who she adopted when she was eight-year-old, turned 34-year-old on June 3. Taking to her Instagram, Tandon shared fond pictures on the occasion.

Calling her daughter "the best thing that happened", Tandon shared pictures of her daughter, stating her to be her "best friend" and her "sounding board". The post which was shared early on June 3, gained over 25k likes in less than 12 hours.

- The Dilwale star became the single mother of two adopted daughters- Chaya Tandon and Pooja Tandon.
- Both the Tandon's were adopted in the year 1995, Chaya being eight-year-old at the time and Pooja being 11-year-old at the time.
- After tying knots with Anil Thandani in the year 2004, both the daughters found a father and later, two more siblings, Rasha Thandani and Ranbir Thandani.
- Chaya tied the knot with Shawn Mendes, who is based in Goa, in the year 2016 while she was 21-year-old at the time. The marriage witnessed a blend of Hindu and Catholic culture.
- Tandon went against odds to adopt two children at the age of 21 after being driven by the desire to provide a better future to them. Both of the foster kids are no quite successful in their respective career, Chaya being an air hostess and Pooja being an event manager.
- Tandon quoted, "When my cousin passed away he left behind Chaya and Pooja. I didn’t like the way their guardian was treating them so I took them home with me. I didn’t think much of it. It came naturally to me. I wanted to give the girls the life they deserved. I’m not a multibillionaire but I do what I can to help."
- Acknowledging the fact that it was difficult for her to become a mother at such a young age, she said that she never had any second thoughts or regret about her decision. Moreover, she finds herself grateful to her parents for supporting her in her decision.
