South star Rashmika Mandanna is all set to make her Hindi movie debut with Vikas Bahl's upcoming family drama Goodbye. The actor she will be seen acting opposite veteran actors Amitabh Bachchan and Neena Gupta.
Mandanna is known for commendable performances in South Indian movies like Geetha Govindam, Pushpa: The Rise, Sita Ramam and Dear Comrade. She will soon be making her Hindi movie debut with Goodbye, a family comedy-drama also starring Shivin Narang and Ashish Vidyarthi in pivotal roles. Goodbye Plot, Cast, Trailer, Release Date
The movie is about a dysfunctional family whose members have conflicting choices and lifestyles. Some of them live apart from each other and the ones who live together don't always agree on certain matters. However, when a tragic and sudden death turns their lives upside down, they have to find a way out of their conflicting thoughts and support each other.
The ">trailer stars Bachchan and Gupta as a couple and parents to four children. Two of them now have jobs and are living independently away from their parents. The youngest one is not yet independent enough to move out. The third eldest and their only daughter is played by Mandanna who wants to be independent after getting her first job. However, a tragic incident ends up bringing the entire family together which results in comic situations, conflicting ideas and a lot of chaos.
The movie also stars Arun Bali, Elli AvRam, Sahil Mehta, Pavail Gulati and Sunil Grover in important roles. Goodbye recently became the first film to adopt a reduced pricing policy. Under this policy, the first day shows of the film will be available to the audience at a reduced price of Rs. 150 only. The decision was announced by Bachchan through a short video.
The movie is directed and written by Vikas Bahl under the production of Saraswati Entertainment Pvt Ltd, Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Viraj Sawant and Vikas Bahl. Goodbye will have a theatrical release on October 7, 2022.
