Ranbir Kapoor Alia Bhatt wedding date has been the talk of the town since the couple made their relationship public. Despite the fact that their wedding rumours have been all over the internet recently, the actors have remained tight-lipped about it. However, one of their close relatives is reported to have delivered an update on their wedding plans.
Beena Kannan, a well-known bridal designer, recently shared a photo with Kapoor and Bhatt on her Instagram account. In the photo, Bhatt wore a cream-coloured suit, while Kapoor wore a blue shirt. The pair were photographed with the designer. The photo quickly fueled rumours about their wedding plans and the wedding date. The post was flooded with comments from netizens asking if they were getting married soon.
According to several reports, the couple is set to marry in April 2022, and planning for the big day has already begun. When one news portal asked if rumours of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt getting married in April are genuine, Ranbir's aunt Rima Jain was quoted saying, “Nothing that I know of as yet. They will get married but I don’t know when. They will decide and then suddenly you'll will all get to know”.
When asked further about the April wedding rumours, Jain said, “Nothing like this. Hum log ne kuch prepare hi nahin kiya toh shaadi kaise itni jaldi hogi (We haven’t prepared anything yet, so how will the wedding happen so soon?). It will be shocking for me also if it’s true. Wedding will definitely happen, but I don’t know when.”

The Bollywood couple began dating about four years ago and kept their romance under wraps for most of that time till Bhatt made their relationship official by posting a photo of the two.

The couples faced the same question in December 2021 during the Brahmastra promotional event, which is their first film together. At the motion poster presentation of Brahmastra, Ranbir Kapoor asked Alia Bhatt when they would get married, which was one of the questions posed by fans. Bhatt, on the other hand, avoided the question saying, "Why you are asking me?"
When Bhatt was again asked about her marriage plans while promoting Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film Gangubai Kathiawadi, in which she plays a sex worker turned activist and politician, she replied that, "whenever it does take place, it will be beautiful" and kept it short.
Bhatt has upcoming projects lined up for release in 2022, following RRR (March 25) and Gangubai Kathiawadi (March 25). Her film Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukherjee and starring Ranbir Kapoor, will be released in theatres on September 9, 2022. Darlings, Alia Bhatt's debut production, starring herself and Shefali Shah, is also set to be released.
