Ram Gopal Varma women: Ram Gopal Varma is currently in news as a video of him dancing "inappropriately" with actor Inaya Sultana went viral and left netizens shocked. The director is however making headlines again for sharing the image of his "first love" recently on social media.

The director is notorious for making problematic remarks about women. In January this year, the filmmaker was criticised for objectifying women when he said during an interview, "The brain does not have a gender. A woman can have it, a man can have it. The sexual aspect is very particular and specific." Varma further added that a woman has an extra thing which is her sensuality and that is what her admires. Recently though, it is the women in the director's life that have propelled him to social media fame, not hos problematic views.

Introducing a woman named Satya, Ram Gopal Varma wrote on Twitter two days ago that she was his "first ever love" in his college days. In another tweet he revealed that his landmark film Satya, starring Urmila Matondkar, and Sridevi's name in the movie Kshana Kshanam was inspired by her. Satya is now a doctor living in the US. She is a Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist and an OB Gyn. Apparently, she sent Gopal Varma her pictures from Miami beach, Florida. He claims that she also inspired him to write Rangeela. Actor Suchitra Krishnamoorthi had proposed marriage to the filmmaker but he rejected it saying that he uses women only for sex. Krishnamoorthi mentioned it in her book Drama Queen. Apparently, she sent him a text asking him if he would marry her. However, he rejected the proposal saying that she has 'misunderstood' him completely. He doesn't believe in the institution of marriage and is not the 'marrying kind'.
When questioned about it, the director said that it was her way of expressing her memories. He added that she was "just joking". "I always have a funny way of saying things," he concluded.

Ratna Varma is Ram Gopal Varma's ex-wife. As per reports, when lyricist Sirasri started writing a book on the controversial filmmaker titled Vodka With Varma, he got in touch with his former wife. "She told me many interesting things about RGV, things other's don't know," Sirasri told a leading daily. When the news of the director's divorce got out, one of his leading ladies was linked to him, making nation-wide headlines.

Urmila Matondkar
It was Ram Gopal Varma's film Rangeela that made Urmila Matondkar a household name in the 90s. Matondkar went on to star in several movies of the director such as Bhoot, Jungle, Daud and Kaun?. The news of their alleged affair became widespread in the film industry. Gossip columns back in the day went on to claim that their alleged relationship had led to Varma's divorce. However, there's no confirmation as to whether Ratna Varma actually divorced her husband because of his link-up. Also, Matondkar has never confirmed the rumours of her relationship with Varma.
Inaya Sultana
Ram Gopal Varma has been receiving backlash from the netizens ever since an inappropriate dance video of him and actor Inaya Sultana surfaced on the internet. Taking to his Twitter handle, Gopal Varma said that it is not him in the video nor is the woman Sultana. In a separate tweet, he shared a selfie with the actor and said, "With the beautiful @inaya_sultana my dancing partner in the viral video." To this, Sultana replied, "Thank you sir...Love you." The actor posted another clip from the dance video on Twitter stating, "I officially share this video of mine and @RGVzoomin"
