Akshay Kumar is gearing up to delight his fans with yet another family drama, this time focusing on a brother-and-sister relationship. The actor announced the film's title and release date on social media a few days ago. Later, the actor uploaded a series of film posters, revealing that the story revolves around a man and his four younger sisters. In anticipation of the trailer's release today, the actor released a new poster featuring the film's main characters.
In the new poster for the film, titled Raksha Bandhan, Kumar can be seen riding a scooter with a sidecar with his sisters in tow. He shared the poster and captioned it, "Togetherness is knowing each other’s secrets, happiness & hearts. Togetherness is life. And what’s life without a family. Come join this beautiful family. #RakshaBandhanTrailer out today at 5.40 pm #ReturnToFeelings #RakshaBandhan11August." A behind-the-back photo of Kumar's character and his four sisters hugging in a group hug was featured on another poster.
Meet Raksha Bandhan Cast:
In terms of the film's plot, it depicts a brother and sister's love, connection, and attachment. Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb, and Smrithi Srikanth will play his sisters, while Akshay Kumar will play the character of their brother.
Sadia Khateeb made her film debut with Shikara (2020) and will now appear in Raksha Bandhan. Deepika Khanna has also acted in dramas like Gandii Baat (2018), Yeh Crazy Dil (2018), Patiala Babes (2019), and Who's Your Daddy (2020). While Sahejmeen Kaur and Smrithi Srikanth look like newcomers.
This film has Bhumi Pednekar as the lead actor and it will be her union with Kumar after Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.
