Planning To Watch Prabhas Starrer Radhe Shyam? Here's The Release Schedule

Radhe Shyam, the much-awaited Prabhas and Pooja Hegde starrer, is all set to release. Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, the film's release was stalled last year due to the pandemic.

Radhe Shyam is a romantic drama, set in Europe in the 1970s. The trailer of the film begins with a quote by Alexandria Bellefleur, stating – ‘It’s all written in the stars', hinting that the movie is based on the theme of, love versus destiny. Apart from Prabhas and Pooja Hegde, the film also features Bhagyashree, Jagapati Babu, Murli Sharma, Priyadarshi, Sathyan, Sasha Chettri, Sachin Khedekar, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Mandava Sai Kumar and Riddhi Kumar.

Fans have been eagerly waiting for the release of this movie, ever since the ">trailer premiered on youtube, on December 23, 2021. Radhe Shyam marks the return of Prabhas on the silver screen post-Saaho in 2019. He is best known to the Hindi speaking viewers for his work in SS Rajamouli's eponymous two-part film series Bahubali, in which he played the lead role. His popularity due to the series could be the reason why Radhe Shyam was shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu.

In an interview with The Indian Express, director Radha Krishna Kumar, opened up about Prabhas's character in the upcoming period film and said, “The character of Vikramaditya in Radhe Shyam was inspired by the European palmist Cheiro. We also developed the story by incorporating two or three real-life incidents.”

Radhe Shyam will be releasing with a Censor-certified 'U/A’ rating, which stands for unrestricted public exhibition, with parental guidance for children under age twelve. Set to release worldwide, the movie has a runtime of 150 minutes. The film will be releasing exclusively in theatres on March 11, and pre-booking for the film has already started online.

People intending to view the film on OTT might have to wait a little longer, as the makers of Radhe Shyam haven't shared the film's digital release schedule. In January, it was reported that the team of the film was offered Rs 400 crore for a direct OTT release, but it was turned down as the makers were keen on bringing the film to the silver screen.
