Prachi Dhabal Deb is a cake artist from Pune who has achieved the unthinkable. She created a 100-kg cake in a month. It measures 6 feet 4 inches in length, 4 feet 6 inches in height, and 3 feet 10 inches in width. With this feat, she has made it to the World Book of Records. She made a replica of the grand Milan Cathedral. It is an Italian monument famous for its beauty and aesthetics.
According to World Book Records, Deb is known for making the maximum number of egg-free, vegan royal icing structures meticulously piped by hand.
The cake artist is originally from Dehradun. She mastered the intricate art of "royal icing" from noted cake artists Eddie Spence MBI in the United Kingdom. She studied up to class 10 at Carmen School, Dalanwala. Her husband is an IT professional and is based in Pune.
In an interview with PTI, she spoke about her unique achievement. She said, "The planning and preparation took a lot of time as it needed about 1,500 pieces to demonstrate the Cathedral. I single-handedly piped every piece, and later, assembled those pieces in about a month."
She is delighted with her achievement as the certification of her work by the World Book Of Records, London, is indeed a dream come true.
In her Instagram post, she wrote that she would like to dedicate this to her father-in-law as she was always her biggest support and appreciated her art. He understood her love for this medium and was so proud of her achievements.
