Priyanka Deshpande, also known as ‘Vijay TV Priyanka’ in Tamil Nadu is a TV show anchor. She gained her nickname when she began hosting the Super Singer program on Vijay Television and was also called as ‘Super Priyanka’.

Priyanka Deshpande, also known as ‘Vijay TV Priyanka’ in Tamil Nadu is a TV show anchor. She gained her nickname when she began hosting the Super Singer program on Vijay Television and was also called ‘Super Priyanka’.
She made her debut as an anchor on Zee Tamil channel. The 31-year-old once stated that her hosting career started “accidentally” when she briefly filled for a friend who was an anchor and hosted a show on her behalf for a number of days. This marked the beginning of her full-time career as an anchor.
In an interview, Deshpande said that she was not fluent in Tamil when she entered the industry, but all her hard work made her a leading anchor in a popular TV channel based out in South India. She is now fluent in five languages including English, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Marathi.
The anchor of Tamil TV is originally from Maharashtra but was born and brought up in Karnataka, as per reports. A graduate of Ethiraj College in Chennai, Deshpande has hosted a variety of shows such as Daddy My Hero and Mami’s Day Out, to name a few. She also hosted, Cinema Kaaram Coffee and Olli Belly as well as Ma Ka Pa Anand.
Besides hosting, Desphande has also been a co-judge on Kalakka Povadhu Yaaru’sSeason 6 and 7. Eventually, she has become the highest-paid host on Tamil TV.
The anchor also has a YouTube channel by the name “Priyanka Deshpande”. The platform is filled with content for her fans consisting of various updates about her professional life and snippets from her personal life.

The Bigg Boss Tamil 5 contestant has also reportedly made an album with the famous actor-comedian Pugazh who also appeared on Bigg Boss Tamil 4. The anchor took to her Instagram to share the news of her entry into Bigg Boss, the post was captioned, "Bigg Boss Season 5 it is! Promise again.. Will not let you down."
In her Bigg Boss Tamil 5’s introduction, she performed Who's the hero song from Kamal Haasan's Manmadhan Ambu.
It has been reported that in season 5 of the Tamil Bigg Boss, a newer version of the house was seen with an underground jail. The new season aired on October 3.
Other female contestants of the show are Iykki Berry, Isai Vani, Mathumitha, Namitha Marimuthu, Pavni, Chinna Ponnu, Nadia Chang, Suruthi, Akshara Reddy and Thamarai Selvi.
