Priyanka Chopra Remembers father: On Thursday, Bollywood actor, Priyanka Chopra remembered her father, Dr Ashok Chopra, on the occasion of his 8th death anniversary.
She took to social to share an anecdote, along with a childhood picture, from her memoir, Unfinished. In the anecdote, she recalled an incident that took place, when she was five years old. She wrote that the incident made her 'angry' at her dad, but added that he won her forgiveness.

Dr Ashok Chopra passed away in 2013
In the photo, a five-year-old Priyanka Chopra can be seen smiling, while holding a mic. Her father, Dr. Ashok Chopra is holding the mic with her, and singing, with musicians playing their instruments in the background. The photo dates back to December 31, 1987.
"From my earliest years, my dad and I had an understanding: Whenever he was performing at the army club he would look me in the eye during the first song. The New Year's Eve I was five he forgot, so I started to leave in a huff. Dad jumped off the stage and pulled me up onto it with him, coaxing me into a duet—a nursery rhyme—and winning my forgiveness, " says the anecdote from the book.
Dr. Ashok Chopra passed away in June 2013, after fighting a five-year long battle with cancer.
In an interview with American talk show host Oprah Winfrey, Priyanka Chopra spoke about the things she might misses the most about her father. She said that her father would always be excited, and proud of her from the littlest, to the biggest things. She then added that she misses her father's joy, excitement, and the investment he had in her life.
She also said that her father has been instrumental in making her what she is today.
Priyanka Chopra is currently working on the spy series Citadel, alongside actor Richard Madden.
