Priyanka Chopra Pre Oscar Party Speech: Priyanka Chopra Jonas was one of the hosts for the pre-Oscar party in Beverly Hills which aims at celebrating South Asian excellence in films. Besides Chopra, the other hosts of the event include Mindy Kaling, Kumail Nanjiani, Anjula Acharia, Bela Bajaria, Maneesh K. Goya and Shruti Ganguly. The actor was seen wearing a black saree which she paired with a strapless blouse.

Here's what you should know about the speech she delivered.

1. The actor spoke about how she started in Hollywood ten years ago.
2. She recalled an incident with actor Aziz Ansari at a party she was attending in the beginning of her career in Hollywood.
3. "When I came here 10 years ago and started looking for work in America, I remember I was at a Golden Globes party and Aziz Ansari and I met at an after-party and it was just him and I and we wanted to count how many brown people were in the room and it was just us. And you know it was great, we congratulated each other, encouraged each other and we went out and met everyone else," Chopra said in her speech, as per a report.
4. She, however, specified that the scenario is completely different now.
5. "But today I am not someone else. Today I stand among peers, amongst colleagues, amongst south Asian excellence. And I have goosebumps, I am emotional, it makes me very proud.", she added.

For the unversed, Priyanka Chopra was last seen in the Hollywood film, The Matrix Resurrections. As per sources, she will now be seen in the onscreen adaptation of Shilpi Somaya Gowda’s novel Secret Daughter. Chopra will also be seen in Jee Le Zaraa alongside Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. The film is directed by Farhan Akhtar.

The web series Citadel, romantic comedy Text For You, and action film Ending Things are some of her Hollywood projects that are lined up.
