Priyanka Chopra Oscar controversy: Actor Priyanka Chopra responded to Australian journalist Peter Ford when he questioned her credibility with regards to her announcing the Oscar nominations. "No disrespect to these two but I’m not sure their contribution to movies qualifies them to be announcing Oscar nominees," he had tweeted on Wednesday. In response, the actor shared her filmography with the journalist.
Priyanka Chopra then shared his now-deleted tweet and shared her film credentials on the micro-blogging platform, writing, “Would love your thoughts on what qualifies someone."

Australian journalist makes his account 'private'
After being trolled by Chopra's fans for not researching about her body of work before questioning her credibility, Ford deleted his tweet and changed the settings of his Twitter account to private.

Priyanka Chopra's film The White Tiger got nominated for the Academy Award in the adapted screenplay category. She had acted in the film alongside Rajkummar Rao and Adarsh Gourav. She is currently shooting for the upcoming Amazon series Citadel alongside actor Richard Madden.
