Priyanka Chopra's Daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas Is Already A Celebrity

Priyanka Chopra Jonas along with Nick Jonas welcomed their baby girl early this year on January 21, 2022. Recently reports have surfaced, that the couple has named their child Malti Marie Chopra Jonas.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas along with her husband Nick Jonas welcome a baby via surrogacy on January 21, 2022.  Posting on their respective social media accounts the couple stated- “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much.” The baby was reportedly born 12 weeks before the due date and was being observed at South California Hospital outside Los Angeles.

Priyanka and Nick Jonas have opted for privacy and haven't shared any of her photographs with the public yet. The public had been eagerly waiting for the couple to reveal the name of their newborn baby. Madhu Chopra, mother of Priyanka Chopra had mentioned that the baby is yet to be named and that the family is waiting for a priest to suggest a name.

Finally, reports have surfaced revealing that the baby is named Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. There has been no confirmation from the duo on whether the name has been taken from the Chopra-Jonas family tree. As of right now, all we know is that Malti is a Sanskrit origin word meaning fragrant flower or moonlight whereas Marie comes from the Latin term "stella maris," which means star of the sea. However, fans have speculated that Malti and Marie are the middle names of the baby's grandmas. Dr Madhu Chopra, Priyanka's mother's Instagram page username is “madhumalati”.  whereas Marie is reportedly the middle name of Denise, mother of Nick Jonas.

With the name being revealed in media reports, fans were seen discussing and dissecting the name of the child. Malti Marie has already grabbed many headlines and her face is not seen by anyone so far. With her famous parents repeatedly grabbing the limelight, it is expected the Malti Marie (if that is what her name is) will only get more and more attention from the fans and the media.

Priyanka Chopra Motherhood: What She Has To Say About Upbringing and How The Celebs Reacted.

Priyanka Chopra recently talked about motherhood and how she would like to go about her child's upbringing in an interview with talk show host, Comedian, and Youtuber Lilly Singh. She stated- “As a new parent right now, I keep thinking about that. I will never be imposing my desires, fears, my upbringing on my child. I have always believed that children come through you, not from you. There is no belief like this is my child and I will shape everything. They come through you to find and build their own life. Recognizing that really helped me, my parents were very non-judgemental in a certain way.”

Previously Lilly Singh who is also a close friend of the family had shared her excitement on the announcement of the arrival of the baby girl and had commented 'Can't wait to cuddle them!!!'. Adding to the excitement actor Kal Penn commented stating- 'Kal Penn uncle is ready to babysit!'.
