The rights for Priyanka Chopra, and Anthony Mackie starter Ending Things have officially been procured by Amazon Studios. The film is said to have a premised somewhat similar to True Lies, featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis.
This speculated script for Ending Things revolves around a hit-woman wanting out of her business. She ends her professional and personal relationship with her assassin business partner, only to realise she still has feelings for him. In order to survive the breakup – and their last job together – they must join forces for one final time.
Priyanka Chopra will act as the executive producer for this upcoming film through her banner, Purple Pebble Pictures. Mackie will also be taking on the role of producer for the project through his Make It With Gravy Productions banner. Other names behind the production of the film are said to be Jeremy Stein, Jason Spear, and Lit Entertainment.

No further details of filming have yet been released as both the actors are currently occupied with other projects. Mackie could soon be making his directorial debut with Spark, a Civil Rights Era drama, starring actor Saniyya Sidney. The actor is also busy wrapping up Desert Warrior and will also headline Captain America in the fourth movie of the Marvel franchise.
Chopra Jonas, on the other hand, will next be seen in Text For You, a romantic comedy opposite Sam Heughan. She will also headline a thriller web series titled Citadel starring alongside Richard Madden. Chopra Jonas, who had signed a first-look deal with Amazon some time back, will also be starring with Sienna Miller in Secret Daughter.
Anthony Mackie and Priyanka Chopra Jonas were finalised for this project in leading roles earlier this year. Aside from comparisons with True Lies, it is also speculated that Ending Things might have some similarities with Mr and Mrs Smith starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Fans will have to wait to find out whether the film borrows largely from previous spy-centric romantic thrillers, or carves a unique story of its own.
