Priyanka Chopra expresses gratitude to her grandmother, dwelling on strong maternal figures in her life, through a nostalgic Instagram picture with her Nani (maternal grandmother). The pictures shared featured the actor when she was only 6 years old with her mother Madhu Chopra, her Grandmother, and her cousin, Priyam Mathur.

Remembering her Nani's birthday celebration from when she was 6-years-old, Priyanka Chopra has mentioned being grateful for growing up with strong maternal figures in her life. Sharing a picture of her childhood, Actor Priyanka stated, "All of 6, celebrating my Nani’s (maternal grandmother) birthday. She helped raise me while my mom and dad balanced studying and balancing medical careers. She was a hugely consistent part of my upbringing. I feel so lucky that I had so many strong maternal figures in my life. I’m so grateful for you all. Miss you always Nani."

Priyanka and Nick Jonas welcomed their first child, earlier this year. Madhu Chopra, Priyanka's mother revealed that she has not gotten a chance to meet her granddaughter. Feeling nostalgic, Chopra has stated in the picture that she misses her Nani and she is forever grateful for her Nani and the role she played in her childhood and raising her while her parents managed their careers.
