Actor Priyanka Chakraborty Gets Married To Siddhartha Sanyal

Bengali Actor Priyanka Chakraborty recently tied the knot with Siddhartha Sanyal. The Sanjher Baati fame got married in a traditional Bengali wedding, which was attended by actors and her friends from the Bengali film industry. The wedding was also attended by their family and friends. The ceremony took place at Kaliaganj, a city in Uttar Dinajpur district of West Bengal.

The wedding ceremony was set up in the most traditional Bengali way and all the pre-wedding rituals ranging from aaiburobhat to gaaye holud was performed. There were a couple of Chakraborty's selfies prior to the wedding that did rounds on the internet.

The picture of the Haldi ceremony was also shared on Instagram with the groom wrapped in gamocha and wearing a white west and dhoti. In the picture, a group of women are applying Haldi to the groom while he looks shy. Then a selfie of Chakraborty with actor Ananda Choudhuri was shared. She considers him as her elder brother.

Chakraborty's wedding attire includes a red Banarasi saree and gold jewellery with traditional Bengali accessories for the wedding. A picture of the wedding has been shared on Instagram where the groom is looking at Chakraborty right after the sindoor part of the ceremony.

The couple had gotten engaged back in June 2021. It was a cosy ceremony, which was attended only by friends of the couple, family members and relatives. They dropped the idea of having an extravagant celebration considering the COVID-19 situation. It was held at Kalyani. People from the Bengali film industry sent the couple love and best wishes including her co-stars from Sanjher Baati and Ogo Nirupama.

At the engagement, Chakraborty has worn a floral lehenga and the couple decided to go for matching attires. The couple decided to take the next step in their relationship after dating for a long time.

Chakraborty has been part of popular Bengali television shows like Swapno Udaan, Ardhangini, Irabotir Chupkotha, amongst others.
