Prime Video December Releases: The calendar for 2021 is about to turn for one last time. If you are fretting over where did this year go, then you are not alone. Seriously, where did 2021 go? Well, it is too late to mull over that question, so instead of fussing over yet another year lost to COVID, why not celebrate that this dreaded ordeal is finally going to be over soon. And what better way to do that than spending weekends and holidays binge-watching some good content.

Like every month we are bringing to you what's new on OTT to help you plan your weekends better. A popular series returns with its third season on Prime Video, while a SciFi thriller starring Riz Ahmed and Octavia Spencer is also ready for its digital release.
So without much ado, here is what's coming to Prime Video in December 2021:
Inside Edge Season 3
Created by Karan Anshuman and directed by Kanishk Varma, this series offers an insider's look into the world of cricket replete with glamour, betting, politics, the battle for power and big bucks. Season 3 will see Richa Chadha and Vivek Oberoi return to the series, along with actors Tanuj Virwani, Amit Sial Aamir Bashir, Sayani Gupta, Akshay Oberoi, Sidhant Gupta and Sapna Pabbi. The show was also nominated for Best Drama series at 46th International Emmy Awards.
Inside Edge Season 3 will start streaming on December 3.

Encounter
Directed by Michael Pearce, this upcoming SciFi film features Riz Ahmed, Octavia Spencer, Rory Cochrane, Aditya Geddada and Lucian-River Chauhan. The story revolves around a decorated US Marine soldier who embarks on a rescue mission to save his two sons from an alien threat. As their journey takes them in increasingly dangerous directions, the boys will need to leave their childhoods behind.
The film will have a theatrical release on December 3, followed by a digital release on December 10.
The Expanse Season 6
Based on the works of author James SA Corey, The Expanse is a SciFi series set in future in which a UN politician and a spaceship captain named James Holden find themselves embroiled in a space conspiracy that poses threat to the existence of the solar system.

In season 6, viewers will see Holden and the crew of the Rocinante fight alongside the Combined Fleet of Earth and Mars to protect the Inner Planets from Marco Inaros and his Free Navy’s campaign of death and destruction. Meanwhile, on a distant planet beyond the Rings, a new power rises.
The Expanse Season 6, which happens to be the final season of this series, will start streaming on December 10.
Being The Ricardos
Written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, this Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem starrer is a biographical drama that captures the relationship between actors Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz who starred together in the much-loved show I Love Lucy. The film captures Ball and Arnaz's tumultuous off-screen marriage which they never let affect their on-screen chemistry.
Being The Ricardos will be available for streaming on December 21, nearly 11 days after its theatrical release..
