Will Wedding Bells Ring For These Bollywood Couples In 2022?

Bollywood recently celebrated the marriage of long-time couple Farhan Akhtar-Shibani Dandekar. After four years of dating and fans rooting for the two, they got hitched on February 19 in Khandala. This wasn't the only big Bollywood wedding fans have witnessed in the last few months, and as COVID-19 restrictions ease there could be more coming our way soon.

In December last year, actor Katrina Kaif tied the knot with Vicky Kaushal at a lavish ceremony in Rajasthan. While the couple had never made their relationship official, photos from pew-wedding rituals began doing rounds on the Internet early in December. Eventually, the couple announced that nuptials with coordinated posts on social media, on December 9.

This year, fans are looking at several other Bollywood couples such as Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani and wondering who will tie the knot and when. While many of these couples have confirmed their relationship, some have kept it tightly under wraps.

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have been dating each other for some time now and are regularly spotted together both at events and on each other's social media. In an interview, Kapoor had said that the pandemic had spoiled the couple's wedding plans. "It (the wedding) would have already been sealed if the pandemic hadn’t hit our lives," he said. While promoting her film Gangubai Kathiawadi, Bhatt reacted to Kapoor's statement and said, "I feel like the timing of even when we get married, it’s all going to work out in all the right and beautiful way."

Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani

Rumours of Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani dating each other began doing rounds last year as they geared up for the release of their film Shershaah. In the film, Malhotra played the role of martyred Captain Vikram Batra while Advani portrayed his girlfriend Dimple Cheema. Ever since the two have been frequently spotted together. However, neither Advani nor Malhotra have confirmed that they are in a relationship as of yet.

Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora made their relationship official back in 2019. Their fans have been desperately waiting for the two to get hitched as soon as possible ever since. Rubbishing the rumours about their breakup last year, Kapoor took to his social media and wrote, "Ain't no place for shady rumours."

Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul

Actor Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul have been spotted together around the town many times. The two can be seen commenting and showering love over each other on social media as well. Athiya, who is the daughter of actor Suniel Shetty, had wished Rahul on his birthday last year, on Instagram, sharing two pictures alongside the caption, "grateful for you, happy birthday."

Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha

Actor Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha made their first public appearance as a couple at the world premiere of Victoria and Abdul in Venice. The couple was supposed to get married in 2020, but had to stall their plans due to COVID-19. In November the same year, the couple moved into their new home. Sharing the news, Chadha wrote on Instagram that she was "excited to start a new chapter!"

Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani

Rumoured couple Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani are often spending time together. Known to be fitness enthusiasts, Patani and Shroff often comment on each other's workout posts. Time and again, rumours of the couple tying the knot soon have found their way to the media. However, Tiger's father Jackie Shroff cleared the air in 2021, saying, "He is married to his work right now. I don’t think he is going to defocus because once he focuses on something then he has a laser like focus."
