Pooja Hegde And Prabhas Starrer Radhe Shyam To Now Release On This Date

Radhe Shyam new release date was announced on February 2 by the film's lead actor Prabhas through social media. The announcement comes after director SS Rajamouli too shared the renewed release date for his ambitious multilingual period project RRR. Directed by Krishna Kumar, Radhe Shyam was earlier slated to release on January 14.

The film starring Pooja Hegde and Prabhas was delayed due to the COVID-19 restrictions. Due to the rise in Omicron variant cases and COVID-19 cases, cinema halls across the country were shut down once again earlier this year. The film's makers wanted to go ahead with a theatrical release instead of opting for a digital one, so the dates were pushed. Now as the new restrictions are in place and halls have reopened with a 50 percent capacity, the Radhe Shyam team is gearing up for its release again.

The film with the poster of a ship caught in stormy weather will release theatrically on March 11 this year. Actor Prabhas took to social media, Instagram to reveal the new poster and the release date, that the viewers have been waiting for.

"11.03.2022. I'll see you," wrote the actor sharing the poster of the film, which had captions, "Witness the biggest war between love & destiny 11.03.2022, Worldwide in theatre." The same poster was reshared by actor Pooja Hegde on her Instagram story and feed with the caption, "The enthralling love story has a new release date! #RadheShyam in cinema on 11th March!"

Radhe Shyam features an ensemble cast that includes Prabhas, Hegde, Bhagyashree, Krishnam Raju, Sachin Khedkar and Priyadarshi, amongst others. The film is set in the period 1970s in Europe and has been shot in both Hindi and Telugu. Hegde will also be seen with Ranveer Singh in Cirkus, which is directed by Rohit Shetty and will also feature Jacqueline Fernandez and Varun Sharma.

Numerous films are gearing up for release as theatres re-open across the country. The makers of Kartik Aaryan and Tabu starter Bhool Bhulaiyaa too shared on Wednesday that the film will have a May 20 release. Rajamouli's RRR, meanwhile, will come to cinemas on March 25.
