Pooja Bedi Reveals How Children Reacted To Her Engagement With Maneck Contractor

Pooja Bedi opened up about how her children Alaya Furniturewala and Omar reacted to her love life.

She said that her kids have watched her go from one relationship to another and that they were friendly with all the men she dated. She then added that both her kids are still in touch with her ex-boyfriends, and often chat with them, and meet them.

Pooja Bedi says that Alaya had advised her to "settle down"

Pooja Bedi then spoke about how her daughter, actor Alaya Furniturewala had advised her to "settle down".  "I remember, my ex-husband got married, ex-husband had a child also, I remember Alaya came to me and said, 'See Mumma, look at papa, he's got somebody so lovely, he's got a child also now, maybe you should settle down'. My kids are telling me to settle down? (laughs) I'm really happy just being me, they're really fond of Maneck," she said while speaking with Peepingmoon.

Pooja Bedi then went on to talk about how Maneck Contractor had proposed to her while they were on a hot-air balloon. She said that she had immediately rushed home to inform her kids regarding the same. Bedi said that Alaya and Omar were excited to see the ring on her finger.

During the conversation, Bedi spoke about her divorce. She said that many people had advised her to think about her children, and also her own future prospects.

She was earlier married to Farhan Furniturewala until 2003. After they parted ways, she has been in a few relationships since. In 2019, the actor revealed that she had got engaged to Maneck Contractor. She is currently living with him in Goa.

Bedi had also spoken about how it is possible to find love, even after a divorce. She said this while referring to her father, Kabir Bedi who had married four times.
