- Another user remarked on the music of the trailer," Uff! This one is haunting, the music though. The last part of the song is lit. It would be visually great to watch Devaralan Aattam. No word."
- George remarked, "Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who plays Queen Nandini is the highlight of the Ponniyin Selvan trailer for me. She absolutely fits the role and no ones else could have matched it. She makes devious plans and her eyes do no leave the royal throne. A deadly femme fatale."
