Doesn't come from my heart that I have to be so open in front of camera: Pavitra Punia

Pavitra Punia On Intimate Scenes: Pavitra Punia turned down a web show as they required her to do intimate scenes and expose. She says that doing intimate scenes in front of the camera is not her cup of tea, adding that she admires actors who can perform such scenes and wish to overcome her fears. 

The Bigg Boss Season 14 participant said that she doesn't mind refusing work offers because of her discomfort in getting intimate in front of the camera.

"I don't like doing romantic scenes, or the ones where I have to reveal a lot of body, and consummation scenes. That is why refused to be a part of two web shows recently," Punia said to Hindustan Times.

However, Punia admits that although she has inhibitions about being intimate in front of the camera she has immense respect for the actors who can perform such scenes at ease. 

"It looks good from the outside but every time I watch such scenes I think of the guts that the actors have to perform those scenes. It takes a lot of guts to do something like that" Punia adds.

When she was asked about the reason for her embarrassment, the Naagin actor confessed, "It has a lot to do with my roots as I come from Haryana. It doesn't come from my heart that I have to be so open in front of the camera. I get scared."

However, Pavitra hopes for a change and expects that she will be able to overcome her fears soon. She admits that she has tried days to overcome her fears but she hasn't been successful at it, yet.

“I don’t have that confidence in me yet. I do believe that change is always good, and hope that there will be a day when I will be able to overcome this hesitation and fear,” said Punia.

Pavitra Punia has a very strong fan base and was one of the strongest competitors in the Bigg Boss house. Appearing mostly in negative roles, Pavitra's work-life includes Television soaps like Love u Zindagi, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Preeto, Naagin, etc.
